In response to international requests of the extension comment period of the proposed revision of "Draft Ministry of Public Health Notification (No….), B.E. …., on Alcoholic beverages.", notified as G/TBT/N/THA/282, an extension of the comment period of 30 days has been granted by the Thai FDA. The new closing date for comments is 30 January 2009. ;

6. Description of content

The MOPH Notification (No. ….), B.E. …. (…..) entitled “Alcoholic beverages” proposes to revise the warning sentences on the label of “Alcoholic beverages” and be replaced as follows: 1. Prohibition of alcoholic beverages sale to persons under twenty years old. 2. Persons below twenty years old should not drink.
Il est proposé dans la notification du MOPH n° .... de .... È. B. (....) relative aux boissons alcooliques de réviser les phrases d'avertissement figurant sur les étiquettes des boissons alcooliques et de les remplacer par des messages dont la teneur serait la suivante: 1. Interdiction de la vente de boissons alcooliques aux personnes de moins de vingt ans. 2. Les personnes de moins de vingt ans ne devraient pas boire.
La Notificación Nº …, … E. B. (…), titulada "Bebidas alcohólicas" propone la revisión de las expresiones de advertencia del etiquetado de este tipo de bebidas para reemplazarlas por las siguientes: 1. Se prohíbe la venta de bebidas alcohólicas a menores de 20 años. 2. Los menores de 20 años no deben consumir bebidas alcohólicas.
