6. Description of content

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to enforce TIS 1999-2543(2000) as a compulsory standard. The standard covers hot-rolled steel coil strip plate and sheet with press drawability for automobile structural uses. Classifies the product by mechanical properties into 4 grades, i.e SAPH 370. SAPH 400 and SAPH 440. Specifies mass, dimensions and tolerances, permissible variations, chemical composition, appearance, mechanical properties, e.g. tensile strength, elongation and bendability. Includes marking and labelling, sampling and criteria for conformity and testing.
L'Institut thaïlandais de normalisation industrielle (TISI) propose de donner effet à la norme TIS 19992543 (2000) en tant que norme obligatoire. Ce texte porte sur les bobines, feuillards et tôles en acier laminé à chaud avec capacité d'étirage à la presse, pour usages structurels dans l'industrie automobile. Les produits sont classés en quatre qualités en fonction de leurs propriétés mécaniques (SAPH 310, SAPH 370, SAPH 400 et SAPH 440). La norme spécifie la masse, les dimensions et les tolérances, les variations admissibles, la composition chimique, l'aspect et certaines propriétés mécaniques, comme la résistance à la traction, les capacités d'allongement et l'aptitude au pliage. Elle couvre aussi le marquage, l'étiquetage, l'échantillonnage et les critères de conformité et d'essai.
El Instituto de Normas Industriales de Tailandia (TISI) ha propuesto aplicar con carácter obligatorio la norma TIS 1999-2543(2000). La norma abarca los productos enrollados, chapas, planchas y bandas de acero laminado en caliente aptos para el estirado en prensa, destinados a utilizarse en estructuras de automóviles. La norma clasifica el producto, de acuerdo con sus propiedades mecánicas, en cuatro categorías: SAPH 310, SAPH 370, SAPH 400 y SAPH 440. Especifica la masa, dimensiones y tolerancia, variaciones admisibles, composición química, aspecto, propiedades mecánicas, por ejemplo resistencia a la tracción, alargamiento y flexibilidad. Incluye prescripciones de marcado, etiquetado y muestreo y criterios de conformidad y pruebas.

This addendum is to inform that TIS 1999-25XX proposed by Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), notified under G/TBT/N/THA/55/Rev.1, was adopted as TIS 1999-2560(2017) Hot-Rolled Flat Steel for Automobile Structural Uses.

L'objet du présent addendum est d'annoncer que la norme TIS 1999-25XX, proposée par l'Office thaïlandais de normalisation industrielle (TISI), notifiée au moyen du document G/TBT/N/THA/55/Rev.1, a été adoptée en tant que norme TIS 1999-2560(2017), intitulée "Acier plat laminé à chaud pour usages structurels dans l'industrie automobile".

6. Description of content

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to withdraw 1999-2543(2000) for hot-rolled steel coil strip plate and sheet for automobile structural uses, and replaced it with TIS 1999-25XX as a mandatory standard.

This standard covers hot- rolled flat steel with the thickness of not exceeding 14 mm (both unalloyed and alloy steel) with improved formability that be suitable for automobile uses or other appropriated proposes.

However, this standard does not cover:

·                hot-rolled flat steel for other proposes which have been already specified in TIS standards such as TIS 1479

·                hot-rolled flat steel for subsequential cold-rolling but not exclude skin pass/temper rolling or roll forming
