Description of content
The following foods obtained through certain techniques of genetic modification/genetic engineering shall be subjected to label: (1) Soybean; (2) Tofu (soybean curd) and fried tofu; (3) Dried soybean curd, soybean refuse, yabu; (4) Natto (fermented soybean); (5) Soybean milk; (6) Soybean paste; (7) Cooked soybean; (8) Canned or bottled or retort pouch soybean; (9) Roasted soybean flour; (10) Roasted soybean; (11) Food containing item 1 and 10 as main ingredient; (12) Food containing soybean flour as main ingredient; (13) Food containing soybean protein as main ingredient; (14) Food containing green soybean as main ingredient; (15) Food containing soybean sprounts as main ingredient; (16) Corn; (17) Corn snack; (18) Corn flour; (19) Popcorn; (20) Frozen or chilled corn; (21) Canned or bottled or retortable corn; (22) Food containing corn flour as main ingredient; (23) Food containing corn grits as main ingredient; (24) Food containing item 16 to 21 as main ingredient. 2. The label of the foods mentioned in 1, shall be subjected to the following Notifications: The Notification of the Ministry of Public Health of certain products The Notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No.194) B.E.2543(2000) Re: Label, with exception of Clause 3(1) name of foods and Clause 3(5) name of ingredients shall be as follows: For foods which have only one main ingredient, the label should provide the statement of "genetically modified" in conjunction with, or in close proximity to the name of the foods under 1 such as "genetically modified corn", "tofu produced from genetically modified soybean" etc. For multi-ingredients foods, the label should provide the statement of "genetically modified" in conjunction with, or in close proximity to, or under the name of top three ingredients of food products such as "genetically modified corn starch" etc.
1. Les produits alimentaires ci-après obtenus au moyen de certaines techniques de modification génétique/de génie génétique devront être étiquetés: 1) Fèves de soja; 2) Tofu (pâté de soja) et friture de tofu; 3) Tofu séché, déchets de fèves de soja, yabu; 4) Natto (soja fermenté); 5) Boisson au soja; 6) Pâte de soja; 7) Fèves de soja cuites; 8) Soja en conserve, en bocal ou en sachet hermétique; 9) Farine de soja torréfiée; 10) Soja grillé; 11) Produits alimentaires ayant comme ingrédient principal les articles 1er et 10 ci-dessus; 12) Produits alimentaires ayant comme ingrédient principal la farine de soja; 13) Produits alimentaires ayant comme ingrédient principal des protéines de soja; 14) Produits alimentaires ayant comme ingrédient principal le soja vert; 15) Produits alimentaires ayant comme ingrédient principal des germes de soja; 16) Maïs; 17) Aliments pour casse-croûte à base de maïs; 18) Farine de maïs; 19) Maïs éclaté (pop-corn); 20) Maïs congelé ou réfrigéré; 21) Maïs en conserve, en bocal ou en sachet hermétique; 22) Produits alimentaires ayant comme ingrédient principal la farine de maïs; 23) Produits alimentaires ayant comme ingrédient principal le gruau de maïs; 24) Produits alimentaires ayant comme ingrédient principal les articles 16 à 21 ci-dessus. 2. L'étiquetage des produits alimentaires mentionnés dans la section 1 est réglementé par les notifications suivantes: - les notifications du Ministère de la santé publique relatives à certains produits; - la notification n° 194 de 2543 È.B. (2000) du Ministère de la santé publique relative à l'étiquetage, à l'exception de son paragraphe 3 1) concernant le nom des produits alimentaires et de son paragraphe 3 5) concernant le nom des ingrédients, remplacés par ce qui suit: a) Pour les produits alimentaires qui comportent seulement un ingrédient principal, l'étiquetage devrait mentionner le caractère génétiquement modifié de celui-ci en complément ou à proximité du nom des produits alimentaires cités dans la section 1 à l'aide d'une formule correspondant par exemple à "maïs génétiquement modifié", "tofu fabriqué à partir de soja génétiquement modifié", etc.; b) En ce qui concerne les produits alimentaires à plusieurs ingrédients, l'étiquetage devrait mentionner leur caractère génétiquement modifié, le cas échéant, en complément ou à proximité ou sous le nom des trois ingrédients principaux, à l'aide d'une formule correspondant par exemple à "amidon de maïs génétiquement modifié", etc.
1. Los siguientes productos alimenticios obtenidos mediante determinadas técnicas de modificación genética/ingeniería genética quedan sujetos a las normas de etiquetado: 1) Habas de soja 2) Tofu (cuajada de soja) y tofu frito 3) Cuajada de habas de soja secas, desperdicios de soja, yabu 4) Natto (soja fermentada) 5) Leche de soja 6) Pasta de soja 7) Habas de soja cocidas 8) Soja enlatada, embotellada o en envase hermético 9) Harina tostada de habas de soja 10) Habas de soja tostadas 11) Productos alimenticios que contengan algunos de los productos enumerados en los puntos 1 a 10 como ingrediente principal 12) Productos alimenticios que contengan harina de soja como ingrediente principal 13) Productos alimenticios que contengan proteína de soja como ingrediente principal 14) Productos alimenticios que contengan habas de soja verde como ingrediente principal 15) Productos alimenticios que contengan brotes de soja como ingrediente principal 16) Maíz 17) Productos alimenticios de maíz para aperitivo 18) Harina de maíz 19) Palomitas de maíz 20) Maíz congelado o refrigerado 21) Maíz enlatado, embotellado o en envase hermético 22) Productos alimenticios que contengan harina de maíz como ingrediente principal 23) Productos alimenticios que contengan sémola de maíz como ingrediente principal 24) Productos alimenticios que contengan uno o más de los productos enumerados en los puntos 16 a 21 como ingrediente principal 2. El etiquetado de los productos mencionados en el punto 1) se rige por las siguientes notificaciones: - la Notificación del Ministerio de Salud Pública relativa a productos determinados; - la Notificación del Ministerio de Salud Pública (Nº 194) de 2543 E.B. (2000), relativa al etiquetado, con excepción del párrafo 3(1), nombre de los alimentos, y del párrafo 3(5), nombre de los ingredientes, que se modifican como se indica a continuación: a) la etiqueta de los productos alimenticios compuestos de un único ingrediente deberá indicar "genéticamente modificado" junto a o cerca del nombre de los productos alimenticios citados en la sección 1) supra, por ejemplo, con una fórmula semejante a "maíz genéticamente modificado", "tofu producido con habas de soja genéticamente modificadas", etc; b) la etiqueta de los productos alimenticios compuestos por varios ingredientes debe indicar "genéticamente modificados" junto a o cerca del nombre de los tres ingredientes principales, con una fórmula semejante a "fécula de maíz genéticamente modificado", etc.
