This addendum is to inform that TIS 4 Part 1 – 25XX proposed by Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), notified under G/TBT/N/THA/476, was adopted as TIS 4 Part 1 – 2558(2015) Tungsten Filament Lamps for Domestics and Similar Lighting Purpose Part 1 Safety Specification.

Se informa de que la Norma TIS 4 Parte 1 - 25XX, propuesta por el Instituto Tailandés de Normalización Industrial (TISI), notificada con la signatura G/TBT/N/THA/476, ha sido adoptada como Norma TIS 4 Parte 1 - 2558(2015), Lámparas de filamento de volframio de uso doméstico y alumbrado similar. Parte 1: Requisitos de seguridad.

6. Description of content

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to withdraw TIS 4 Part 1 - 2529(1986) Incandescent lamps, and replace it with TIS 4 Part 1 - 25xx Tungsten filament lamps for domestics and similar lighting purpose Part 1 safety specification as a mandatory standard. 

This draft standard specifies the safety and interchangeability requirements of tungsten filament incandescent lamps for general lighting service having:

  • rated wattage up to and including 200 W;
  • rated voltage of 50 V to 250 V inclusive;
  • bulbs of the A, B, C, G, M, P, PS, PAR or R shapes, or other bulb shapes where the lamps are intended to serve the same purpose as lamps with the foregoing bulb shapes;
  • bulbs with all kinds of finishes;
  • caps B15d, B22d, E12, E14, E17, E27 or E27/51×39.

As far as is reasonably practicable, this standard is also applicable to lamps with bulbs and caps other than those mentioned above, but which serve the same purpose.

    L''Office thaïlandais de normalisation industrielle (TISI) propose de retirer la norme TIS 4 partie 1-2529(1986) (Lampes à incandescence) et de la remplacer par la norme TIS 4 partie 1-25xx (Lampes à filament de tungstène pour usage domestique et éclairage similaire - Partie 1: prescriptions de sécurité) en conférant à cette dernière un caractère obligatoire. ; ;Le projet de norme notifié établit les prescriptions de sécurité et d''interchangeabilité applicables aux lampes à incandescence à filament de tungstène destinées à l''éclairage général et ayant: ; ;
  1. une puissance assignée inférieure ou égale à 200 W; ;

  2. une tension assignée comprise entre 50 V et 250 V (limites incluses); ;

  3. des ampoules de l''une des formes A, B, C, G, M, P, PS, PAR ou R, ou d''une autre forme pourvu que, dans ce cas, les lampes soient prévues pour remplir les mêmes fonctions que celles équipées d''ampoules correspondant aux symboles littéraux précédents; ;

  4. des ampoules avec tous les types de finition; ;

  5. des culots B15d, B22d, E12, E14, E17, E27 ou E27/51×39. ;

    6. Dans la mesure du possible, cette norme s''applique également aux lampes ayant des ampoules et des culots différents de ceux mentionnés ci-dessus, mais remplissant les mêmes fonctions. ; ;

  1. potencia asignada igual o inferior a 200 W; ;

  2. tensión asignada entre 50 V y 250 V, ambos inclusive; ;

  3. bulbo de tipo A, B, C, G, M, P, PS, PAR o R, o una forma diferente si la lámpara si son los mismos fines que tienen las lámparas con uno de los bulbos indicados; ;

  4. todo tipo de acabado del bulbo; ;

  5. casquillo de tipo B15d, B22d, E12, E14, E17, E27 o E27/51×39. ;

    6. Si es viable, razonablemente, la norma también es aplicable a las lámparas que tienen un bulbo o un casquillo distintos de los indicados, pero se destinan a los mismos usos. ; ;
