6. Description of content

This standard specifies the safety and interchangeability requirements, together with the test methods and conditions required to show compliance of tubular fluorescent and other gas-discharge lamps with integrated means for controlling starting and stable operation (self-ballasted lamps) intended for domestic and similar general lighting purposes having: ;
- a rated wattage up to 60W; ;
- a rated voltage of 100V to 250V; ;
- Edison screw or bayonet caps. ;
The requirements of this standard relate only to type testing. ;
This Pakistan Standard is the direct adoption IEC:60968. ;
La norme notifiée spécifie les prescriptions de sécurité et d'interchangeabilité ainsi que les méthodes et les conditions d'essais prescrits pour démontrer la conformité des lampes tubulaires à fluorescence et autres lampes à décharge à dispositif intégré d'amorçage et de stabilisation du fonctionnement (lampes autoballastées) destinées à l'éclairage domestique et similaire et ayant:  une puissance nominale inférieure ou égale à 60 W;  une tension nominale de 100 V à 250 V;  un culot à vis Edison ou un culot à baïonnette. Les prescriptions de la norme notifiée ne concernent que les essais de type. Cette norme pakistanaise reprend directement la norme CEI 60968.
La norma notificada especifica los requisitos de seguridad y de intercambiabilidad así como los métodos y condiciones de ensayo, necesarios para demostrar la conformidad de las lámparas tubulares fluorescentes y otras lámparas de descarga con dispositivos incorporados de cebado y de un funcionamiento estable (lámparas con balasto propio), destinadas a fines de iluminación doméstica y similares y con las siguientes características: - potencia nominal de hasta 60 W; - tensión nominal de 100 a 250V; - casquillos con rosca Edison o de bayoneta. Los requisitos para esta norma se refieren solamente a los ensayos de tipos. La norma del Pakistán notificada adopta directamente la norma IEC: 60968.
