This addendum is to inform that the Thai Industrial Standard for Ballasts for Tubular Fluorescent Lamps: Energy Efficiency Requirements (TIS 2337-2557(2014)) issued by Thai Industrial Standards Institute, notified under G/TBT/N/THA/445, was adopted on 14 August 2016 and will enter into force after 365 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette (16 August 2017).

6. Description de la teneur

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to enforce TIS 2337-2557(2014) Ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps: energy efficiency requirements. This draft standard specifies the energy efficiency requirements for ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps for general lighting purposes in different shapes. 

It covers the following:

- minimum energy performance standard of ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps;
- ferromagnetic or electronic ballasts use with fluorescent lamps, a.c. supplies from 10 W to 70 W, voltage of 220/230 V and 240 V at frequency of 50 Hz;
- the ballast is a separate component or built into the lamp.
