This addendum is to inform that the Thai Industrial Standard for A.C. Electric Fans - Safety Requirements (TIS 934-2558(2015)) issued by Thai Industrial Standards Institute, notified under G/TBT/N/THA/463, was adopted on 14 August 2016 and will enter into force 365 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette (16 August 2017).

; ; ;L'objet du présent addendum est d'annoncer que la norme industrielle thaïlandaise "Ventilateurs électriques à courant alternatif - Prescriptions en matière de sécurité" (TIS 934-2558(2015)) émise par l'Office thaïlandais de normalisation industrielle et notifiée au moyen du document G/TBT/N/THA/463 a été adoptée le 14 août 2016. 6. Description de la teneur

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to withdraw TIS 934-2533 (2005) A.C. Electric Fans - Safety Requirements, and replace it with TIS 934-25XX as a mandatory standard. This standard deals with the safety of electric fans for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances.

So far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by electric fans used in appliances which are encountered by all persons in and around the home. However, it does not in general take into account:

  •  persons (including children) whose
    • physical, sensory or mental in capabilities; or
    • lack of experience and knowledge

Prevents them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruction.

  • children playing with the appliance.

    el TISI se propone anular la norma TIS 934-2533 (2005) y reemplazarla por la norma TIS 934-25XX, de obligado cumplimiento: Ventiladores eléctricos de corriente alterna; requisitos de seguridad. La norma notificada es específica de los aspectos de seguridad de los ventiladores eléctricos de uso doméstico y otros usos similares, con una tensión asignada no superior a 250 V (sistemas monofásicos) o 480 V (los demás aparatos). ; ;La norma abarca los peligros corrientes que presentan los ventiladores eléctricos empleados en los aparatos de uso doméstico, para los propios usuarios y otras personas. No obstante, en general no toma en consideración las siguientes situaciones: ; ;
  1. el uso por parte de personas (incluidos los niños) que no están en condiciones de utilizar estos aparatos de forma segura sin vigilancia o instrucciones: ;

  2. con discapacidad física, sensorial o mental, o ;

  3. sin suficientes conocimientos o experiencia. ;

  4. el uso de los aparatos como juguete por los niños. ;
