This addendum concerns the notification of draft of Egyptian Standard ES 7093 " essential requirements for safety of toys " (partial amendment in 1 page, in Arabic).


It should be noted that Ministerial Decree No. 974/2014 (1 page, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/70/Corr.1 dated 11 June 2015, mandated among others the earlier versions of this Standard.


Worth mentioning is that this standard has been partially modified in the following items:



  • Table (3) Limits of migratory elements.

  • Item 5 marking.


Worth mentioning is that this draft standard is comply with 2009/48/EC “ Safety of toys”.  


Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standard through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Le présent addendum concerne la notification du projet de Norme égyptienne ES 7093 relative aux exigences essentielles concernant la sécurité des jouets (modification partielle, 1 page, en arabe).
Il est à noter que le Décret ministériel n° 974/2014 (1 page, en arabe), qui avait fait l'objet de la notification G/TBT/N/EGY/70/Corr.1 du 11 juin 2015, prévoyait, entre autres, l'application obligatoire de l'édition précédente de cette norme.
Il est également à noter que la norme a été partiellement modifiée, comme suit:
· Tableau 3) Limites de migration des éléments.
· Point 5 marquage.
Il est à noter en outre que ce projet de Norme est conforme à la directive 2009/48/CE sur la sécurité des jouets.
Les producteurs et importateurs sont informés de toute modification des normes égyptiennes par la publication d'arrêtés administratifs dans le Journal officiel.

El presente addendum se refiere a la notificación del Proyecto de Norma de Egipto ES 7093, Requisitos básicos para la seguridad de los juguetes (modificación parcial, 1 página, en árabe).
Se señala que el Decreto Ministerial Nº 974/2014 (documento en árabe, 1 página), notificado el 11 de junio de 2015 en el documento G/TBT/N/EGY/70/Corr.1, establecía, entre otras cosas, la obligación de cumplir las versiones anteriores de la mencionada Norma.
Se señala también que se han modificado parcialmente los elementos siguientes de esta Norma:
· Cuadro 3) Límites de los elementos migratorios.
· Punto 5 marcado.
Cabe mencionar que el Proyecto de Norma notificado es conforme a la Directiva 2009/48/CEE sobre la seguridad de los juguetes.
Se informará a los productores y los importadores de toda modificación de las normas de Egipto mediante la publicación de las órdenes administrativas en el Diario Oficial del país.

The Ministerial Decree mandates that the producers and importers must comply with ES7093/2014. This Egyptian Standard specifies the essential requirements for safety of toys (mechanical and physical properties, flammability and chemical properties, hygiene, electrical properties and radioactivity). The transitional period is 6 months from 24 February 2014 to 24 August 2014.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with 2009/48/EC.
