The proposed regulations are an amendment of the Regulations Regarding Fertilizers (Regulation  No. R 732) that were published in September 2012. Contents of the proposed Fertilizer Regulations cover general matters on regulation of fertilizers as well as specific fertilizer requirements.

7. Objectif

To update the current published Fertilizer Regulations No. R. 732 that were published in September 2012. A number of developments regarding regulation of the Fertilizer Industry have occurred since the fertilizer regulations were last published in 2012 and these developments have been addressed in the proposed Fertilizer Regulations to avoid ambiguities in the interpretation. Amendments have been made on the specification requirements (i.e composition as well as the minimum and maximum analytical deviations that are permissible from the prescribed specifications) for different kinds of fertilizers. Lastly, bulk compost has been included in the regulation.
