This addendum concerns the modification of  Egyptian Standard  ES 608/2013 Gas Cylinders – Specifications and Testing of LPG Cylinder Valves – Manually Operated (36 pages, in Arabic), that is already mandated by ministerial Decree 423 /2005 (25 pages, in Arabic). The producers and importers must comply with the Egyptian standard ES 608/2013.

ES 608/2013 specifies the requirements for design, specification and type testing of dedicated LPG cylinders from 0.5l up to 150l water capacity. It includes references to associated equipment for vapour or liquid service. Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with ISO15995:2006 Gas Cylinders-Specifications and Testing of LPG Cylinder Valves - Manually Operated.

Entry into force is six months from the date of adoption that is 30 September 2014.

This addendum concerns the change to Egyptian standard ES  4756-1 "Cement - Part 1: Composition, specifications and conformity criteria for common cements" which is  mandated by Ministerial Decree no. 423 for the year 2005.

The decree mandates that the producers of cement must comply with ES 4756-1 "Cement - Part 1: Composition, specifications and conformity criteria for common cements". This standard has been amended in 2013 and thus older versions of the standard are replaced by the new version.

This Egyptian standard defines and gives the specifications of 27 distinct common cements, 7 sulfate resisting common cements as well as 3 distinct low early strength blast furnace cements and 2 sulfate resisting low early strength blast furnace cements and their constituents.

The definition of each cement includes the proportions in which the elements are to be combined to produce these distinct products in a range of nine strength classes. The definition also includes requirements, which the constituents have to meet. It also includes mechanical, physical, and chemical requirements. Furthermore, this standard states the conformity criteria and the related rules. Necessary durability requirements are also given.

This standard complies with EN 197-1/2011.

This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 1098/2016 (1 page, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 4562/2016 "Crayons and oil pastels" (21 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/3 dated 14 December 2005, mandated among others by the Ministerial Decree No. 423/2005 (25 pages, in Arabic).

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with JIS S 6026/2007.

- ES 1948-4 "glass in building – laminated glass and laminated safety glass - Part 4: test methods for durability" (18 pages, in Arabic),

- ES 1948-6 "glass in building - laminated glass and laminated safety glass - part 6: Appearance" (11 pages, in Arabic).

The Egyptian standard ES 1948-4 and Egyptian standard ES 1948-6 cancel and supersedes the Egyptian standard ES 1948/2005 which were formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/3 dated 14 December 2005, mandated among others by the Ministerial Decree No. 423/2005 (25 pages, in Arabic).

Worth mentioning is that these standards comply with ISO 12543-4/2011 and ISO 12543-6/2011.
